Ohio is home to many world class fossil localities. Although Ohio lacks dinosaur fossils, it is world renowned for its ancient sea life, The Dunk, and Ice Age mammals. Join us to take a trip through 450 million years of outstanding Ohio fossils. There will be time for Q&A. Bring your own fossils for identification.
Carrie has conducted field work and museum work in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania. Her concentrations include fossil crustaceans, particularly the Jurassic, Cretaceous, and Eocene groups. She conducts research at the Kent Campus and teaches introductory geology and paleontology courses.
