In partnership with the State Library of Ohio Talking Book Program, the Ohio Library for the Blind and Print Disabled (OLBPD) operates as the Regional Library for the National Library Service (NLS) for the Blind and Print Disabled of the Library of Congress. It administers a free library program of audio and braille reading materials circulated to eligible borrowers in the State of Ohio by postage-free mail and by download. Reed Memorial Library is the local agency for the OHBPD in Portage County.
Full length books and magazines are available in audio and in Braille for all age levels and on a wide variety of subjects. These materials can be borrowed free of charge. The same popular titles that are at your local public library are available in talking books, professionally narrated, and can be mailed to and from your home, postage free.
Learn how the Ohio Library for the Blind & Print Disabled works, access the OLFPD Reader's Handbook and more through the OLBPD pages at the Cleveland Public Library.
