Join us for Dog Days at the Library, a fun-filled, family-friendly event celebrating all things dogs!
Stop by and celebrate our furry friends while supporting local animal care efforts! Meet community partners and spend time reading to and interacting with friendly dogs.
Dogs are welcome outside the building, so bring your pup along to join in the fun! Take a walk together on our special StoryWOOF Trail, an outdoor reading experience designed for you and your dog to enjoy side by side.
Throughout the event, participants can enjoy a variety of hands-on activities, including making DIY dog toys and treats, creating personalized pet bandanas, and taking part in other dog-themed fun. Pup cups will be available while supplies last for your four-legged friends to enjoy!
A special children’s dog safety program hosted by the Portage Animal Protective League will be offered, helping kids learn how to safely and confidently interact with dogs.
Whether you’re looking to adopt, learn, or just enjoy a day celebrating pets, there’s something for everyone!
