After a long and cold winter, it is time to learn about what happens to plants in the spring!
Sprouting Young Scientists (SPYS) is an outreach program led by a Holden Forests & Gardens guide that delivers seasonal, hands-on, plant-science programs to preschool classrooms. The spring program is all about sprouting plants! After a long and cold winter, it is time to learn about what happens to plants in the spring. After reading a themed story with Sammy the Scientist Squirrel, students will explore various stations throughout the classroom. Students will be introduced to the life cycle of a sunflower, match and sort different seeds, and plant their very own pea seed to take home.
Limited to 21 participants.
