Join Iris March as she discusses her journey into becoming an author.
Iris March is the pen name of Maureen (March) Wise, who grew up in Ravenna and graduated from RHS in 1998. Wise attended the University of Mount Union and has been working in the environmental/ sustainability field since, both in stream restoration and higher education sustainability. Now, Wise teaches classes at Cleveland State University and works as a sustainability consultant. She has written two books to date: a cozy mystery with a sustainability theme and a fictionalized account of her sister's story (Meghan March Bradley RHS '01) of having Hodgkin's lymphoma while pregnant with twins.
The Broken Bridge, A Succulent Sleuth Cozy Mystery, is available both as an ebook and a paperback to borrow at Reed Memorial Library. This cozy mystery takes place at a fictional garden center with the Buckeye Trail running behind it. When a hiker goes missing, the garden center manager discovers she knows more than the police.
The Story That Made Us Stronger is (will be soon, anyway!) available to check out as a paperback at Reed Memorial. The novel follows a cancer survivor and her nurse, who is training for a half marathon. Together, they investigate an abandoned building and discover its many past lives.
Signed copies will be available for sale during the event and are available at major booksellers.
