Our Friends of RML will demonstrate how to make your own chalk-painted book stack and share tips for embellishment and success with all types of books. You'll take home all the supplies and know-how to complete your own at home.

Learn the recipe for diy chalk paint using that leftover wall paint you have lying around. Learn the best way to apply paint, no primer coat needed and tips for success. See how to apply decopage to your painted books for a specific vintage, shabby chic, or holiday look. Learn some super simple and decorative ways to tie up your book stack. Find out which types of used books work best and where to look for them in our Friends' store. While you're learning, get to know our Friends and find out what the organization does to support your library.
