One documentary screening a month, zooming in on a unique subculture that has changed the world. This month - Nourish, a look at the growth of urban farmers in Cleveland and across Northeast Ohio.
In response to the deepening divides in food access across Northeast Ohio, Black community leaders in Cleveland, Akron, and Kent have stepped up to establish solutions and sovereignty in their own neighborhoods. This month, we'll watch Nourish, an episode of the docuseries An Optimists' Guide to the Planet, as it profiles Rid-All, Revolutionary Love Garden, and other urban farm efforts across Cleveland. Then, we'll discuss the similarities and possibilities here in Ravenna - do you or anyone you know have trouble accessing food? How can we use some of the strategies of growers in Cleveland here? What are some solutions you would like to see or be part of building?
All ages are welcome to watch and discuss! Limit of 30 attendees.
