Tour of the city of Ravenna.
The East Main Street Historic District, located between Clinton and Linden Streets, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. The buildings in the district were deemed worthy of preservation for their historical significance. Originally containing 50 buildings, some of them, such as the old Ravenna High School, as well as the oldest house in the city, have since been demolished. Learn about the remaining houses, who lived there, and why they are important. This walk is approximately 1.4 miles, and will last about 1 hour. Meet at the front of the library. Masks and registration required. This is a collaboration between Main Street Ravenna, Portage County Historical Society, and Reed Memorial Library.
