This adult book discussion group reads fiction and nonfiction books over the course of a month and then discusses those titles at monthly meetings.

During the drought and depression of the 1930’s, Oklahoma college basketball coach, Sam Babb, recruited talented, hardworking young women to play on his basketball team, the Cardinals. These remarkable athletes found a passion for the game as well as a heartfelt loyalty to one another and their coach, which resulted in an improbable journey to an epic showdown with the prevailing champions helmed by the legendary Babe Didrikson.
